I have worked for over 10 years with teen and adult clients. I have provided individual, couples, and group counseling, along with educational sessions to clients, families, and others in the community. My non-profit experience has provided me a range of experience in working with trauma, loss and grief, depression, anxiety, anger, communication struggles, struggles with control and acceptance, self-harm, and different family dynamics.
My experience in trauma includes working with victims of sexual abuse, sexual assault, murder, and domestic violence. Both trauma and stress can have such an impact on people's lives and in different ways, such as struggles with sleep, social anxiety, struggles with relationships and trust, and many more. I believe in working to lessen the impact of the trauma and stress and moving in the direction of having a healthy life. I use different modalities in working with clients, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
